Abingdon Utd 1 (Austin 14)

Truro City 4 (Hockley 35, 89, Martin 40, Yetton 75)

Abingdon United let slip the lead as they went down to defeat at home to the Division 1 South & West high-fliers at Northcourt Road.

After an even opening, Abingdon took the lead when Tom Austin drew keeper Martin Rice before slotting home.

Truro were getting on top with Sam Warrell finger-tipping away a low drive from Marcus Martin, before Martin Watts blasted wide.

And they equalised through Matthew Hockley, before Martin headed the visitors into the lead.

Just before the break, Billy Beechers had a piledriver blocked by a defender.

In the second half, Beechers was again denied by a last ditch block, with Herbert's fiercely-struck 20 yarder whistling over.

Truro's keeper got a foot to Holden's shot with Odhiambo's follow-up scrambled away.

Sub Stewart Yetton was denied by Warrell, before he rifled home Truro's third.

Three minutes from time, Truro wrapped up victory when Hockley crashed home from 15-yards.
