North Leigh 1 (Burnell 55)
Bishops Cleeve 1 (Davis 12)
A diving header from Joe Burnell header salvaged a point for North Leigh at Eynsham Park.
Despite having scored just four league goals to date, Cleeve went ahead after 12 minutes as a Ben Gascoyne cross was met on the volley by Mike Davis and his superb first-time strike from the edge of the area gave Leigh keeper Richard Barrett no chance.
North Leigh responded well and enjoyed more possession for the remainder of the half, but were unable to test visiting keeper Jamie Moore.
After the break, North Leigh lifted the tempo and within five minutes of the restart, Moore made a point-blank save to deny Mark Simms from Liam Hope's pass.
They levelled when a Karl Dodds cross was met by the head of Burnell.
Substitute Chris Allen almost made an immediate impact, his precise through ball met by Paul Cooper who was denied by Moore.
The momentum was with the home side, but Cleeve held on.
North Leigh: Barrett, Threlfall (Dennis 74), Helby, Cooper, Huxley, Dodds, Burnell, Futcher (Allen 67), Simms, Hope (Sadler 88), Reardon. Subs not used: Wright, Hutter.
