Holders Ardington & Lockinge came from a goal down to see off Harwell International 4-2 in the North Berks Cup first round, writes ANDY WELLS.

Johnny Eudell gave Harwell the lead, only for goals from Gareth Fenton (2), Chris Roche and Mike Farrelly to seal it for Ardington.

Eudell scored again to complete his brace.

Chris Potter hit a hat-trick as Botley United hammered Challow United 8-0.

Andy Potter, Mark Penner, Dan Hill, Kevin Cooper and John Stribling also netted.

Drayton saw off Stanford-in-the-Vale 3-1, with goals from Steve Holder, Danny Curran and James Brown.

In Division 2, James Hawthorne scored a first-half hat-trick as Saxton Rovers Res beat Faringdon Town Res 3-1.

Jason Smith pulled a goal back for Faringdon.

Leaders Didcot Casuals moved five points clear with a 3-2 victory at home to Lambourn Sports Res.

Jake Chaffey, Jamie Newport and John Wilson were on target for Casuals.

Warborough & Shillingford beat second-placed Benson AFC 3-2.

Andy Wright gave Benson a half-time lead, but goals from Liam Barson, Tom Davies and Adam Oram swung the game in Warborough's favour.

Will Clements netted a late second for Benson.

Both sides were reduced to ten men when Warborough's Wayne Rudman and Benson's Wright were sent off.

Sutton Courtenay drew 2-2 with Grove Rangers.

Pat Clark and Kearan Russell netted for Sutton, with Oli Tabor and Luke Faircloth replying.

In Division 3, Shrivenham A leapt into second place with a goal apiece from Oliver Bailey and Sam Roberts giving them a 2-1 home win over Coleshill Res.

Hagbourne United stayed top of Division 4 despite a 1-0 defeat at Faringdon Town A, Troy Redman the scorer.

Uffington United got off the mark with a 3-0 win against Marcham Res, thanks to goals from Stuart Rolfe (2) and Nick Frost.

Didcot Casuals Res also picked up their first win, with a 4-2 success at Steventon Res.

Gareth Cole (2), Danny McGibbon and Daryl Harper netted for Didcot, with Sean Follows (2) replying.
