TYLER Goodrham says additions like Siriki Dembele will bring out more from Oxford United’s attacking players.
Dembele joined the U’s for a club record fee, arriving from Birmingham City for short of £1 million.
Goodrham and Dembele were on the wings as United beat Preston North End 3-1 before the international break, with the latter replacing the injured Matt Phillips for his U’s debut.

Speaking about Dembele, Goodrham said: “He’s a really good player, you see the way he carries the ball going forward, always positive, so it’s a really good thing to have going forward in the team.
“We all like to get going, and get forward, so it’s a really good addition.”
On the influence that United’s other new attackers can have on him, Goodrham said: “It’s not even just talking to them, it’s watching them and seeing how aggressive they are, and how positive they are going forward.
“I can watch it, and it gives me the confidence to go and do that as well.”
He added: “You look at all the signings that we’ve brought in, there’s some really big competition.
“I said it last year that there was loads of competition, and you look at it now, and there’s even more.
“It makes you be on your game, and play as well as you can, because if not, other players can step in and do your job just as well.”
