FIN Stevens played for an hour as he made his international debut for Wales.

The 21-year-old defender, who played 43 times on loan with Oxford United from Brentford this season, was named in the starting line-up as Wales played Gibraltar in a friendly.

Stevens played at right back, before being replaced by Tottenham Hotspur’s Brennan Johnson as part of a triple switch with 60 minutes on the clock.

Wales drew the game 0-0, with Rob Page also handing a debut from the start to Coventry City defender Jay Dasilva, while Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Tom King, Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas and Leeds United’s Charlie Crew came off the bench for their senior debuts.

Stevens, who was capped 17 times at Under-21 level, will look for further international action when Wales take on Slovakia in another international friendly on Sunday.

United striker Mark Harris was left out of the Wales squad, despite scoring 19 goals in 55 appearances for the U’s this season, spearheading the attack to secure promotion to Sky Bet Championship.

The 25-year-old former Cardiff City forward has won five caps for Wales and was part of the squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, without making an appearance.
