OXFORD United were backed by more than 30,000 fans at Wembley, as supporters roared on the side to promotion.
Josh Murphy grabbed a first half brace, which proved to be enough as the U’s won 2-0 against Bolton Wanderers in the Sky Bet League One play-off final.
Winning at the national stadium marked United’s return to the second tier of English football for the first time in 25 years.
Fans arrived at Wembley early in the morning, as the excitement and tension grew throughout the afternoon.
The full-time whistle sparked jubilant scenes, as U’s supporters soaked in their surroundings.
Our photographer Mike Allen snapped all the action. Check out a selection of his photos in the above gallery.
