OXFORD United’s Under-18s side can book their place in a final tomorrow afternoon.

The young U’s welcome Millwall to the club’s training ground in a semi-final clash in the Under-18 Professional Development League Cup, with kick-off at 1pm.

Both teams are unbeaten so far in the tournament, with Millwall winning all four and scoring 16 goals so far, the most by any team in the tournament.

United went to Burnley 2-1 and won 2-1 in the quarter finals, and will be looking to maintain their strong defensive record, having conceded just twice in four games.

Harrison Bradney and Aidan Elliott-Wheeler scored for the U’s against the Clarets, with a Monty Marriott penalty save sandwiched between the goals.

United coach Pablo Haysham told the club website: “Wednesday is a big game for us. Beating Burnley was a great achievement from the boys, but Millwall are a very good side and have shown that so far in the tournament.

“It will be a great challenge for us, but one that I feel we are ready for and are looking forward to.”

The winners of the game will take on either Swansea City or Watford in the final of the competition.
