LEYTON Orient head coach Richie Wellens has been charged following his sending off against Oxford United.
The Orient boss was shown a red card by referee Martin Woods in the closing stages of the game, after he held onto the ball when it went out for a U’s throw-in.
An FA spokesperson said: “Richie Wellens has been charged following Leyton Orient’s League One game against Oxford United on February 24.
“It’s alleged that the manager acted in an improper manner around the 85th minute, which led to his dismissal. Riche Wellens has until March 4 to provide a response.”
