OXFORD United are set to welcome back both Greg Leigh and Elliott Moore for the trip to Carlisle United this afternoon.

Leigh has been missing since the end of November, when he picked up a calf injury while on international duty with Jamaica, while Moore has been absent for the last two games due to illness.

U’s head coach Des Buckingham said: “We’ve been missing a lot of players that we’re starting to welcome back.

“We get Greg Leigh back in this weekend, and we welcome Sam Long, Stephan Negru and Josh Murphy back the following weekend, on top of the new additions.

“For the longer that January goes on, the stronger we will become.

“Greg’s a big personality around the group. He’ll be a big presence back in our group, whether it’s on the field to start, or coming on to get minutes.

“Elliott’s back in and trained on Wednesday by himself. He’s trained again and has obviously been missing for a week with illness, nothing else, so as long as there’s no reaction, the expectation is he’ll play on Saturday.”
