England needed to run an Olympic qualifying time in the 1500m this week, but could not get a slot in the Paris race.
Stephanie Twell, the 18-year-old who finished second at last weekend's trials clocked a time inside the qualifying standard to all-but guarantee her a place in the Olympic team, which will be finalised tomorrow.
