OXFORD City missed out on the chance to get out of the Vanarama National League relegation places when they lost 2-1 at home to Dorking Wanderers.
The Hoops could have leapfrogged the visitors, but it was the Surrey side who edged further clear of the bottom four.
Niall McManus scored three minutes after coming off the bench, before Sebastian Bowerman netted with nine minutes to go.
Olly Sanderson struck in the fifth minute of stoppage time, but it was too late for City, who slipped to a fifth defeat in seven games.
