OXFORD City conceded late on to suffer a third defeat on the spin in the Vanarama National League.

The Hoops took the lead at home to Solihull Moors, managed by former Banbury United boss Andy Whing, shortly before the hour mark.

Zac McEachran and Josh Parker combined for a one-two, with the former finishing off the move.

However, the visitors hit back soon after when Matty Warburton struck from the edge of the penalty area.

Former Puritans forward Jack Stevens stole a late win for the Moors with just three minutes remaining.

The result leaves the Hoops third from bottom in the table and four points adrift of safety.

Banbury were also beaten despite going in front, away to Warrington Town.

Craig Hewitt gave the Puritans the lead after 20 minutes, but Jay Harris equalised eight minutes before half-time.

Josh Amis netted with eight minutes to go in the second period, leaving the Puritans 16th in National League North, three points above the drop zone.

Didcot Town claimed just their second league win of the season, beating Basingstoke Town 4-2 on the road.

The Railwaymen remain bottom of Southern League Premier South and nine points from survival though.

In Southern League Central Division, a new era for North Leigh, under the management of Dan Nolan, began with a 3-0 victory at home to AFC Dunstable.

Thame United dropped to second from bottom after a 2-0 loss at home to Cirencester Town.
