JOSH Murphy was withdrawn as a precautionary measure during Oxford United’s defeat at Northampton Town.
The winger was one of United’s brightest sparks during the first half, regularly looking to beat his marker and put crosses into the Cobblers penalty box.
However, he was taken off at half-time, with Tyler Goodrham replacing him in a straight swap down the left-hand side.

The lateness of the goal will hurt, but #oufc were beaten too easily in the air this afternoon. Too many crosses not dealt with, either at source or in the box. Not a new trend, but one that will need resolving https://t.co/K57JjzZP1k

U’s head coach Des Buckingham: “It was just a bit of tightness. He should be fine for Tuesday, but if a player indicates there’s some tightness, and we put them back out, he could pull something.
“With the injury list we have at the minute, with five key starters out, I don’t want to add to that.
“The squad is stretched at the moment with the players we’re missing, but we’ve got enough players to step up and step in to get results and performances.”
