Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday and looking at a potential move for on-loan Oxford goalkeeper, James Beadle, according to reports.
The 19-year-old is on a season-long loan from Brighton and has played every minute in the U's league campaign putting in a string of positive performances, including keeping nine clean sheets in 24 appearances.
The two Championship sides are believed to be in the market for a new goalkeeper and are keeping tabs on Beadles, say The Star.
Despite the U's promotion chase, it is understood the England U20 international could be recalled by the Seagulls to send him out further up the pyramid.
Both the Owls and Blues are looking to avoid an immediate return to League One.
If Beadle was to depart in the January transfer window, it would leave Des Buckingham with Simon Eastwood, who recently signed a new deal, and Ed McGinty, who is yet to make an appearance for the club this season.
