OXFORD City slipped back into the Vanarama National League relegation zone after a defeat at fellow strugglers York City.

The Hoops made the trip to the LNER Community Stadium after back-to-back wins, with head coach Ross Jenkins naming an unchanged side from the one which beat Ebbsfleet United 4-0.

However, York took the lead after just six minutes when Tyler Cordner found the net from 30 yards. The advantage was doubled 11 minutes later after Will Davies poked the ball past Jack Bycroft.

Olly Sanderson glanced a header wide seven minutes into the second period, before Bycroft was required to stop York, who took all three points and leapfrogged the Hoops.
