SIMEON Maye’s stoppage time winner moved Banbury United to within a point of the Vanarama National League North play-off places.

Adi Yussuf gave the Puritans the lead with 72 minutes on the clock after slotting under Tamworth goalkeeper Jas Singh.

The home side hit back four minutes later though, when Jordan Cullinane-Liburd equalised.

However, seven minutes into injury time, Maye grabbed his first goal for Banbury, against the side who topped the table going into the weekend.

Didcot Town, bottom of Southern League Premier South, were thrashed 7-0 at home to Poole Town.

The Railwaymen were 2-0 down at the break, but conceded five times during a 20-minute spell in the second period.

In Southern League Central Division, North Leigh kept the pressure on leaders Bedford Town with a 3-0 win at home to bottom side Thame United. Owen James, Dan West and Lance Williams netted for the Millers.

Kidlington snatched a late point with a 2-2 draw at Aylesbury United. Rocko Tamplin gave the hosts a 10th-minute lead, but Connor Ferguson levelled with a free kick shortly before half-time.

Tamplin restored the Aylesbury lead, however Owen James made sure Kidlington left with a point when he thumped home a rebound.
