NATASHA Mighty won her first gold medal at the British Masters Championships as she won the vet 35 shot at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.

Mighty threw 10.75m to take gold on a successful day for Radley's veterans.

Kay Reynolds took gold in the vet 40 100m, clocking 13.57secs, and followed this up with another first place in the 80m hurdles (12.13).

Alastair Duncan took bronze in the vet 50 400m, clocking 55.40, and also finished sixth in the 100m in 12.87.

He also won bronze in the 200m, clocking 25.54.

In the vet 65 women's division, Jackie Charles won four medals in a busy weekend.

She took gold in the triple jump with 7.52m and and in the 80m hurdles (17.63).

In the long jump, Charles claimed a silver with 3.39m and added a bronze in the 200m, clocking 37.06.

In the vet 55 age group, Lyn Ahmet took bronze in the 200m with 34.64, and gold in the triple jump with 7.35m.

Elsewhere, Darren Ward, in his first Masters, came fifth in the 100m (12.01) and seventh in the 200m (24.49).

Bicester's Dave Kuester threw a lifetime best of 13.44m to finish fourth in the in the vet 60 heavy hammer.

His previous best was 12.86m at the 2008 Weight Penthathlon Championships.

He also threw 29.61 in the shot, 10.06 in the discus and 35.72 in the javelin.

White Horse Harrier Richard Jegou threw 10.25m in the shot, 32.25 in the discus, 29.06 in the hammer and 11.99 in the heavy weight.
