Tjay Anderson doubled Romford’s advantage, only for the Stars to strike back through goals in quick succession via Danny Williams and Theo Bundock.

Brynley Capps restored the hosts’ lead, however a Tom Stephens rocket once again brought Stars level.

A Marco Pascale goal on the power play then put Romford 4-3 in front at the end of the second period.

Anderson struck again for Romford, before Tom Wilson secured a three-goal advantage with 12 minutes to go.

Stars face a double-header this weekend when they visit Solent Devils on Saturday, before welcoming Streatham Red Hawks to Oxpens on Sunday.
