Oxford Cavaliers completed their most impressive win of the season with a 48-18 home victory against Redditch Ravens in the South West & Midlands Rugby League Conference as Joe McAneaney took centre stage.
The success exacted sweet revenge for a 40-point defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
Cavaliers stamped their authority on the game from the off, new signing Chris Jones and Chris Clifford scoring tries, with Shane Turner adding a conversion.
Jones went over for his second score of the match, and although Redditch grabbed a try of their own, McAneaney restored the advantage and Turner converted for a healthy 22-6 half-time lead.
Redditch hit back straight after the break, but Cavaliers soon took control again with winger Shaun Sanderson, a new arrival from Montreal, Canada, diving over for his first try in rugby league.
Redditch scored again, and the conversion meant they were right in touch at 26-18.
But the last half-hour saw Cavaliers in unstoppable mood.
Tom Waterfield was the first to score, before McAneaney dived over twice in quick succession to complete a hat-trick of tries.
Second row Jack Briggs was next to score, before McAneaney capped a great individual showing with his fourth try of the game with a 40-yard break.
