JAMES Henry has returned to full training and could make the squad for Oxford United’s trip to Stevenage tomorrow, head coach Liam Manning has confirmed.

The 34-year-old midfielder has yet to play for United this season, having been hampered by an ankle and then Achilles problem.

However, the former Millwall and Wolves player is in contention for the U’s as they visit Stevenage in a top of the table clash in Sky Bet League One.

Manning said: “James Henry’s back full training now. He’s done a full week, which is good for him.

“He’s available. We haven’t selected the squad yet, but fitness-wise, he’s available for selection.

“He’s been there and done it, so with some of the young players, it’s key what he brings. It’s good to see him back out on the grass.”

Manning also had good news on Gatlin O’Donkor, who hasn’t featured since the 2-1 win at home to Charlton Athletic on August 26.

“Gats is very, very close as well, so we’re hoping to see him in the near future,” said Manning.

United are second in League One, ahead of third-placed Stevenage on goals scored, as both clubs share the same points tally and goal difference.
