Even a spectacular century from David Taylor and the introduction of new signing Rory Kleinveldt could not halt Kidlington's depressing season on Saturday.

Taylor hammered a typically aggressive 163 to dominate Kidington's total of 264-6 off 60 overs at home to leaders Farnham Royal.

But that proved not nearly enough as Farnham Royal knocked off the runs in just 36.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Sharifullah Naseri, who was dropped behind off Kleinveldt, hammered 153 not out and Krishmar Santokie scored 51.

Kleinveldt, bowling at less than full-pace following a recent hernia injury, suffered a long with the rest of the home attack.

Kidlington's eighth defeat in nine games leaves them 50 points adrift at the bottom of the Division 2 West table at the halfway stage of the season.
