OXFORD City have signed former Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Marcin Brzozowski after playing as a trialist for the Hoops this summer.

The 24-year-old was born in Poland before moving to the UK aged 10.

He was released by QPR in 2021 without making a first team appearance, and has since had spells with Torquay United, Hendon and Hartley Wintney.

Brzozowski, who has played for Poland up to Under-19 level, told the Hoops website: “I’m really looking forward to the season. I’m feeling really good, and it feels great to be on board with the club.

“I came in on the first day of pre-season and everyone’s been really welcoming. I’ve really enjoyed it and the lads here have made it easy for me to fit into the group.

“Last season, I set myself a target to get back into the National League and I’m really happy to achieve that with this club.”

Head coach Ross Jenkins added: “Marcin is a great lad and he’s got footballing pedigree. He’s come through the ranks at QPR and played for Poland’s underage teams.

“I’m excited to see more of him and I’m hoping he can really kick on again with us. He’s got all the tools to do well, and he’s been really good with the group and become part of the team quickly.”

Brzozowski is the second goalkeeper to arrive at Court Place Farm this summer, with Chris Haigh signing on a season-long loan from Ebbsfleet United.

Haigh joined the Hoops on an emergency loan last season, helping the club secure promotion to the Vanarama National League via the play-offs.
