ANDY Whing tasted victory with his Solihull Moors side as he returned to Banbury United with his new team.
The former Oxford United defender resigned from the Puritans in May, after three successful years with the club.
He led Banbury to a historic promotion during the 2021/22 campaign before guiding them to their highest ever league finish as they ended up 17th in Vanarama National League North last season.

Marking coming back to the Spencer Stadium, Whing oversaw a 3-0 victory with his new side.
The Moors took the lead after eight minutes when Mark Beck converted from the penalty spot.
The visitors made it 2-0 four minutes later when Morgan Owen threaded a ball through to Max Brogan, who burst down the right-hand side and played a low cross which was put into the back of the net for an own goal.
Brogan was then flagged offside just before the half hour mark as he fired home a third goal for Whing’s side.
The usual pre-season friendly raft of substitutes followed at half-time, with the Moors then making it 3-0 with 10 minutes to go.
Callum Maycock played a lofted pass through to Josh Kelly, who squared the ball to Tyler Bruck, who then tucked the ball home.
