RIVA Casley is excited for the Southern Premier Division run-in as four teams chase the title.

Oxford United Women are top and with a game in hand, but lead Watford and Ipswich Town by just a point, while Portsmouth are two points behind the U’s.

United must face all of their title rivals in three of their final four games, beginning with a trip to Watford tonight.

U’s skipper Casley said: “It’s the most exciting league across the board – very rarely do you have four teams so close in points and on the cusp of winning a league.

“It’s anyone’s for the taking and it’s about how you can be consistent over the year and take your chances when you’ve got them.

“The girls have made sure we don’t get caught up thinking about winning the league, we’ve still got four very important games to go.”

On the clash with Watford, Casley added: “We’ve been looking forward to this game for a while now, after it being called off a few weeks ago.

“We know what Watford are about, it was a difficult game at home.

“We know what we’re about and we know what we’ve got to go up against them.

“It’s about understanding what threats they’ve got and how we can stop them, and what we can do to put them on the back foot.”
