OXFORD United have more than doubled what they paid out on agents’ fees in the last year, as the club ranked in the top five spenders in Sky Bet League One.
New Football Association figures reveal the U’s coughed up £381,828 on intermediary fees between February 1, 2022 and January 31 this year.
Only Derby County, Fleetwood Town, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday spent more in the third tier.
The Rams are way out in front, having forked out just over a million pounds on agents’ fees.

The total spent by League One clubs was just short of £5.7m, with Exeter City shelling out the least at £60,351.
United meanwhile more than doubled their spend, with £171,934 stumped up in the previous year, when the club ranked eighth among League One sides.
The latest figures cover the last two transfer windows, with the signings of Sam Baldock, Ciaron Brown, Stuart Findlay, Ed McGinty, Josh Murphy, Jodi Jones, Djavan Anderson, Stephan Negru and Teddy Mfuni all contributing to the overall expenditure.
The loan signings of Lewis Bate, Kyle Joseph and Tyler Smith also played a part in the spend, as did new contracts for Baldock, Anthony Forde, Alex Gorrin, Elliott Moore, Billy Bodin, Cameron Brannagan, James Henry, Jack Stevens and Tyler Goodrham.
