BANBURY United extended their winless run to 10 games after a goalless draw on home soil.
The Puritans were resolute against promotion-chasing Darlington, who ended the game with 10 men.
A quiet first half ended with Ben Acquaye shooting just over, while Jacob Blyth hit the crossbar from distance for Darlington.
Henry Landers forced Tommy Taylor into a smart save with a low free kick as the game approached the final 10 minutes, before the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Jake Cooper picked up a second yellow card.
Deep in stoppage time, Banbury goalkeeper Jack Harding got down well to prevent a winner via Andrew Nelson.
The draw sees the Puritans stay 18th in Vanarama National League North, four points above the relegation zone.
