Liam Manning has spoken about his first week in charge ahead of today’s game against fellow strugglers Morecambe.

Manning revealed the biggest thing he wanted to address was the culture.

He said: “That was really important for me in terms of players being clear what the expectations are, in terms of behaviours, when they step on to pitch and off the pitch.

“Everybody putting the team first, I think that’s really important as well so we’ve covered that a bit.

“We don’t want to hit them with too much information, as it becomes overload so we’ve tried to drip feed in a couple of bits.

“I think it’s more tweaks than anything. We did a bit of work on Tuesday in both penalty boxes.

“Then on Thursday, we looked at some tactical stuff as well and an 11 v 11.

“We want to have an impact so it’s trying to hit the key things that we think will have the biggest impact in the short term.”

Manning labelled today’s opponents a “really dangerous” opponent.

He said: “I think is a really tough place to go. They’ve caused other teams in this division problems at times this season.

“It’s going there to show them the respect that they deserve, and we’ll do that, but ultimately concentrate on us.”
