Former Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Leeds United icon John McGovern was guest of honour at the 55th Hellenic League presentation night, held at the Oxford Centre.

McGovern charted his career and talked about his career-long connection with the late Brian Clough.

McGovern brought along his European Cup winners medals to display, along with his Football League and League Cup winners medals.

The evening's awards ceremony was conducted by general manager Brian King, as North Leigh were presented with the Hellenic League championship shield.

It was a night of celebration for North Leigh, as Mark Simms collected the league's golden boot award for scoring 37 goals.

The Division 1 West golden boot went to Easington Sports' Ricky Johnson for his haul of 38 goals, while the Division 1 West player accolade went to Letcombe's Richard Claydon.

More than £18,000 in prize money was distributed to clubs.

Oxford City chairman Brian Cox received a partnership award from Buckinghamshire New University in recognition of the long-standing relationship between club and University, who have worked together for many years to enhance the development of education in the area of life-long learning.
