YANIC Wildschut and Josh Murphy are both set to be involved in the Oxford United squad which will travel to Accrington Stanley this weekend.

The wingers are among a number of players in a United squad which has been hampered by injuries this season.

Wildschut hasn’t played a competitive game for the U’s since his summer move from CSKA Sofia.

The 31-year-old suffered a hamstring injury just 15 minutes after coming on as a substitute during the pre-season friendly at AFC Wimbledon, his debut for the club.

The Accrington fixture has long been earmarked as the return match for Wildschut, and United head coach Karl Robinson confirmed it would indeed be the game in which Wildschut could make a comeback.

“He’ll travel, we’ll make that decision at the weekend,” he said.

Robinson said Murphy will also make the trip to Lancashire.

“He’ll travel, they’re both in the squad,” he said.

Prior to last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup win at home to Exeter City, Robinson said Murphy could’ve been involved for that tie but wasn’t named in the matchday squad.

The former Cardiff City player has been limited to just four appearances for the U’s since joining in July.
