LIAM Gilbert is looking forward to getting Oxford United Women’s FA Cup campaign underway this weekend.

The U’s welcome Chesham United Ladies to Court Place Farm in the first round on Sunday afternoon.

Gilbert’s side have won three games on the bounce without conceding, and remain unbeaten this season in all competitions.

“We have found our winning form again and we are excited as a coaching team with some of the football we have been playing,” Gilbert told the club website.

“We had lots of new faces at the start of the season, and some even newer ones of late, but we are finally getting to where we know we can be.

“Once the other few signings are fully up to speed, we’ll feel we are in a really good place.”

He added: “Everyone loves the FA Cup. It’s a special tournament and we are over the moon to have the first tie at Court Place Farm.

“The atmosphere is always great, but we are hoping it will be even better for our first game in the FA Cup this season.

“A cup run will only add to the momentum that we are building here, and we look forward to playing a new side in Chesham, who have had some good results of late.”
