OXFORD City had to come from behind, but sailed into the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Jack Munns gave home side Hornchurch the lead with 34 minutes played in the fourth qualifying round fixture.

However, minutes later, Tom Wraight was shown a red card for a challenge on Jean-Baptiste Fischer.

It went from bad to worse for the hosts, as Klaidi Lolos equalised for the Hoops just before half-time.

Sam Higgins blazed over with the goal gaping, four minutes after the break, before Lewis Coyle was denied from a tight angle at the other end by home goalkeeper Joe Wright.

Shortly before the hour mark, Reece Fleet gave City the lead when his shot from the edge of the box cannoned in off the post.

Six minutes later, Josh Parker was brought down by Wright in the area, and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot, to make it 3-1.

Fleet curled an effort wide from outside the box, before Parker added a fourth in stoppage time.

Banbury United missed the chance to make the first round for the third year in a row when they lost 2-1 at Bracknell Town.

The hosts took the lead after seven minutes, only for Puritans debutant Slavi Spasov to equalise with a header.

The Oxford United striker joined Banbury on loan for a month, on Friday.

Bracknell made it 2-1 early in the second half, with the Puritans unable to find an equaliser.
