LAUREN Haynes is hopeful Oxford United Women can maintain their perfect start to the league season.
The U’s return to action against newly promoted Billericay Town, after the FA Women’s National League Cup clash against AFC Bournemouth was postponed last weekend.
United have played the Essex side in the Women’s FA Cup in each of the last two seasons, winning both times.

Haynes said: “We’ve had a couple of previous meetings with them in the cups and we’ve missed a game, so we’re looking forward to getting back out there.
“We’ve been training really hard and we’ve got a couple of players back now that were struggling with injuries.
“We’re looking forward to continuing what we started.”

Having won all four league games so far this campaign, the U’s skipper added: “I said at the start of the season that promotion is the only thing on our mind.
“We want to be playing in the league above. We have to be ambitious and confident, but also stay realistic.
“We know we have to take every game as it comes, we know as we win more games the pressure’s going to rise.
“It only takes one team to get their game plan right for us to make a mistake.”
