Witney's A team were edged into runners-up position by Maxwell in the final round swimming gala of the Home Counties League at Aylesbury.
Following on from their successes at the recent county championships, Witney produced plenty of eye-catching performances.
Adam Colling, 13, was in sparkling form as he romped home in the boys' 15 and under breaststroke to earn the club's swimmer-of-the-match award.
The runner-up vote went to ten-year-old Alex Foggett for his storming win in the boys' 11 and under freestyle.
Scott Webster and Tom McLean won the boys' 15 and under butterfly and freestyle respectively, and combined with Colling and Dan Possess to win in both medley and freestyle relays.
Result: 1 Maxwell 263pts, 2 Witney A 209, 3 Luton A 175, 4 City of Oxford 161, 5 Wellingborough 154, 6 Leighton Buzzard 88.

Witney B finished fifth in their final gala at Dunstable, paying the penalty for two disqualifications.
Isobel Macdonald won the ladies' open backstroke, while 18-year-old Teale Ashton earned the swimmer-of-the-match award for her freestyle victory.
