Joe Lees obtained permission to fish for some of the carp that got into the trout fishery at Darlow after last year's floods - and ended up catching a 32.8.0 pike on a boilie, writes Andy Webber.
Ironically, Joe had been trying to catch a '20' all winter from nearby Hardwick Lake, but only had a few jacks.
This fish was put into Hardwick.
Darlow member Joe, from Witney, also caught bream up 11lb and brown trout to 10lb in a 48-hour session, but with the new trout season starting this week, his coarse fishing exploits will take a back seat.
