JAMES Golding will join up with the Republic of Ireland Under 19s later this month.

The Oxford United defender has been selected for the European Championship qualifiers against Gibraltar, Wales and Hungary.

The games take place between September 20 and 26, so he would be unavailable for the scheduled Sky Bet League One clash with Fleetwood Town on Saturday 24.

Meanwhile, second-year scholar Erion Zabeli will join up with Kosovo Under 19s for a four-day training camp.

Golding, who turned 18 last month, has made five first-team appearances this season across the back line.

The teenager received his first Ireland Under 19s call-up this summer after a successful loan spell at Banbury United last term, while the campaign culminated in his full United debut against Doncaster Rovers on the final day.

Golding featured in a double-header against Iceland in June, starting the second game after coming off the bench in the first match.

He was then selected for a three-day training camp in Loughborough in the first week of August.
