City of Oxford's Matt Corbett and Carly Hayles were the big winners - taking home senior and junior titles respectively.

Corbett (17) won the 200m butterfly in a county record of 2mins 4.08secs to take the senior championship, and he also became senior county champion in the 200m breaststroke and freestyle.

Hayles (15) won the 200m backstroke in a national time, taking the junior trophy and finishing second overall in the seniors.

Emma Lomas was victorious in all six races she entered in the 11 and under girls, with teammate Lucy Smith second in each.

Lucy Gaen won the nine and under girls' 200m backstroke, with Lucy Millington triumphant in the 50m breastroke in her first championships.

Another noticeable performance came from Thomas Ruddell, who won the 200m freestyle in the 11 and under boys.

  • Witney's youngsters dominated the 50m and 100m boys' breaststroke.

In the 11 & under 50m event, Jake Cockcroft took gold and Marc Colling silver.

Adam Colling and Nathan Harkin then won gold and bronze respectively in the 13 & under event.

In the 14 & under race, Daniel Possee and Scott Webster claimed gold and silver, while Daniel Harkin and Chris Hill took silver and bronze in the 15 & under race.

Cockcroft, Colling, Harkin and Graham Cable took golds in their 100m races.

Yolanda Spear (14), Colling and James Bark achieved triple golds in the 50m, 100m and 200m girls' backstroke and boys' breaststroke and butterfly, respectively.

Daniel Harkin, 15, took three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m individual medley events.

  • Alex Murphy, swimming for the newly-formed Didcot Barramundi SC, won two gold medals.

The 12-year-old set a new county record when winning the 100m breaststroke and then triumphed in the 100m freestyle.

  • Guy Giles, of Wantage White Horses broke the boys' 13 and under county record when winning the 200m freestyle.

His successful time continued with first place in the 50m butterfly and third in both the 100m freestyle and 200m butterfly.

  • Abingdon Vale's Michael Fabes was the overall winner in the nine and under category after claiming the 200m freestyle and 200m breaststroke and coming third in the 50m backstroke.
