Abingdon United defender Nathan Woodley has been ruled out for at least three weeks with a bad ankle injury.

The defender fell awkwardly during the 3-1 defeat at Andover on Saturday.

"It's a big blow to us," said boss Andy Slater, whose side travel to AFC Hayes in British Gas Business League Division 1 South & West on Tuesday night.

Julian McCalmon (groin) is a doubt.

Oxford City player-manager Justin Merritt wants his side to be sharper up front at home to Newport Isle of Wight.

It follows Saturday's 1-1 draw against Paulton Rovers.

He said: "We played well in patches, but we missed opportunities I would have expected us to score from."

City will be without Jon Gardner (ankle), Ricky Allaway and Jermaine McSporran (stomach).

Meanwhile, City have extended their sponsorship deal with Oxfordshire building firm Facilitas SMC.

The five-figure deal will be performance-based and could increase in the future.

City chairman Brian Cox said: ''This new sponsorship will directly benefit all current teams and enable us to provide further participation opportunities for local players of all ages and ability.

"We are very grateful to Facilitas SMC for their tremendous support.'' TONIGHT'S SQUADS Abingdon Utd (v AFC Hayes, away): from Farrow, Moss, Meade, Franklin, Organ, Weedon, McCalmon, Herbert, Posey, Beechers, R Brooks, J Brooks, Holden, Malloy, Cottrell.
