OXFORD City’s game at Chippenham Town tomorrow has been postponed.

The hosts asked to call off the Vanarama National League South fixture on compassionate grounds after Pablo Martinez collapsed during Saturday’s match against Chelmsford City. A new date will be arranged in due course.

The defender, who spent part of the 2020/21 season on loan at City, went into cardiac arrest midway through the first half.

Martinez was stabilised before the game was abandoned and the 21-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The former Wales youth international made nine appearances for City, on loan from Bristol Rovers, before the 2020/21 campaign was curtailed.

City started the season with a 3-1 home defeat to Eastbourne Borough, before winning 1-0 at St Albans City on Saturday.

They are back in action on Saturday when they host Concord Rangers at the RAW Charging Stadium.
