TAOME Oliver has joined Oxford United Women for her third spell at the club.

The midfielder left the club last summer, after a one-year spell. She initially joined the U’s for the 2017/18 season, when she scored three goals in 20 appearances.

After rejoining the club, Oliver said: “Each time it has been such a fantastic experience. I obviously know Liam [Gilbert] and a lot of the girls really well.

“This team aims to achieve, it’s always our goal to get up there. It would be good to be able to get back to where we were and do it justice.

“I bring a bit of energy, I like to get on and around the ball and play it quickly, sharp and with a lot of passing.

“Coming back, I’m just super happy to be involved again, it was great working with Liam before and I’m sure it’s going to be even better this time.”

Gilbert added: “Taome is someone I’ve worked with before. She had to move away from the squad for work last year, so we are really happy to have her back.

“We’ll get her back up to speed quite quickly but she’ll be a great addition to the side both as a person and as a player.

“We know she brings a lot of tenacity to the midfield and that is always an added bonus.”
