It looks like being calculators at the ready as Chinnor push for a second South West 1 title in three seasons.

But leaders Bracknell may now be firmly in the driving seat despite having lost twice to the Kingsey Road club.

The RFU have confirmed that should both sides finish level on points, Chinnor will lose the points difference accrued in their 77-0 home victory over St Ives on December 8.

This is because St Ives gave Bracknell a walkover when they were due to travel to Berkshire on February 9.

With Bracknell pipping Chinnor by a points difference of four, Jason Bowers's men will now have to score 81 more points than their rivals to take the title, if the remaining five matches go to form.

Bowers said Chinnor have yet to decide on a reponse to the situation after the Oxford Mail broke the news to them this week.

On the positive side, should both Chinnor and Bracknell win all their remaining games, the team finishing second would have home advantage in the National League play-off.

The most likely opponents for this match would be Worthing, who lie second in London 1 - six points behind Richmond and four ahead of Shelford.
