OXFORD United Women have added title-winning experience to their squad with the signing of Shelly Provan.
The full back was part of the Southampton team that finished top of FA Women’s National League Southern Premier last season.
Provan becomes United’s third summer signing, with Naomi Cole and Leah Burridge already in the building.

Asked what she will bring to the U’s, the defender told the club’s official website: “Hopefully that experience of winning the league last season, it’s a tough league to get out of.
“I think we have a really good opportunity this year to push on and get promoted and I think that’s got to be the aim this season.
“If I can be a part of that then that would be brilliant.”
Manager Liam Gilbert is thrilled to add more know-how to the squad after losing experienced figures Kayleigh Hines and Gemma Sims at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Cheryl Williams has retired from playing and taken the role of assistant boss.
Gilbert said: "We are delighted to have someone who is such a good person as well as such a good player.
“She’ll bring so much experience and support for the rest of the group."
