A sport and martial arts club is raising money for equipment that would allow them to take their training to the next level.

The athletes of Future Boxing Academy, in Bicester, are undertaking an endurance challenge at the Performance Centre located on the grounds of Bicester hotel Golf and Spa on August 7.

The boxers – all under 16’s – will be split into two teams in a relay style race which will include an obstacle course, running and swimming.

This fundraising event has been organised by the club to raise money for a defibrillator; a requirement for any boxing club to gain amateur status.

Head Coach at Future Boxing Academy Harley Watson said: “We’re aiming to raise two to three thousand pounds for a defibrillator.

“Every club has to have a defibrillator within 10 minutes walking distance if they want to go amateur.
