Didcot Tn 6 (Odhiambo 33, 77, 84, Bicknell 55, Bicknell 55, Hope 65)

Anaclet Odhiambo scored a stunning hat-trick as Didcot made it four Division 1 South & West wins in a row with a crushing scoreline on Saturday.

There was very little to choose between the sides for the opening 50 minutes.

But five second-half goals helped Didcot stun their opponents.

Hayes are probably the most unpredictable team in the league, having scored in every match since mid October, but also having conceded more than 60 goals this campaign already.

Kicking down the slope in the first half, Didcot had a scare when Hayes's Ryan Kirkland fired inches wide of the far post. Kirkland then set-up Dean Clark who headed wide.

Didcot took the lead when Matt Bicknell's deep cross fell to Odhiambo, who diverted the ball in off the inside of a post.

It was his first goal in open play since joining from Abingdon United last month.

The game was settled when Didcot scored twice in the space of a minute.

Hayes keeper Kieron Jimmy was at fault for Didcot's second after the break when Jack King's 30-yard free-kick evaded everyone and flew into the top corner on the net.

In Town's next attack, they were awarded another free-kick wide on the right.

Incredibly, it was Bicknell's effort that this time evaded everyone, including Jimmy, and the ball nestled once more in the bottom corner.

Danny Jordan should have reduced the arrears, but shot wide with only Michael Watkins to beat.

With Didcot dominating midfield, Liam Hope scored the goal of the game just after the hour.

Gaining possession wide on the left, he cut inside his marker and fired an unstoppable right-foot shot low past Jimmy.

King then hit the bar with a free-kick from 20 yards before Didcot scored a fifth.

This time substitute Michael Hopkins set up Odhiambo, who headed home at the far post.

And it got even better for Odhiambo when he claimed his hat-trick.

In a terrific solo goal, he beat his marker before thumping the ball home high into the net past the despairing dive of the keeper.
