The 21-year-old scored twice for City in their 4-0 friendly win against Stratford Town on Saturday.

The 6ft 3in forward was born in Athens, and began his youth career with Greek giants Olympiakos, before moving to England to join Crystal Palace’s academy.

Lolos then joined Plymouth Argyle’s youth set-up, before making 12 appearances for the first team in Sky Bet League One.

Loan spells with Dorchester Town and Chippenham Town followed, before a permanent switch across Devon to Torquay, where he featured 28 times for the Gulls last season.

The striker has scored one goal at under-19 level for Greece, netting in a 2-0 friendly win against Romania.

City head coach Ross Jenkins said: “We’ve watched Klaidi for a while now. He’s got real quality and has come through a great academy at Plymouth.

“A lot of people speak highly of his attributes and ability, and I think he’ll do well here.”
