MK Dons could be without 12-goal striker Mo Eisa for Tuesday’s trip to Oxford United.

The 27-year-old went down chasing a pass in the second half of last night’s 3-2 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and instantly called for medical attention.

Eisa was treated for four minutes before being stretchered off with his left leg heavily strapped.

THE VERDICT: Oxford United excellent and exasperating against Fleetwood

The former Peterborough United forward is MK’s second-highest scorer this season, behind Scott Twine, and both players missed December’s return fixture against the U’s due to Covid protocols.

It appears Eisa could also be ruled out of Tuesday’s trip to the Kassam Stadium, although Dons are still waiting for a full diagnosis.

“It's not looking great,” manager Liam Manning told the Milton Keynes Citizen.

“He's down in the dressing room and he's gutted.

“But we’ll have to give it a bit of time to see where he's at.”

MK slipped to third in Sky Bet League One after yesterday’s results, with their defeat to the Owls following Rotherham United’s 1-0 win over Ipswich Town.

It saw fifth-placed Wednesday restore their four-point lead over United, who can keep their faint play-off hopes alive with a victory over Dons.
