THE Easter weekend could make or break the seasons of teams across Sky Bet League One.

With Good Friday falling only a fortnight before the end of the campaign, the next few days will be pivotal for clubs up and down the division.

Oxford United surely have to beat Fleetwood Town tomorrow to keep their play-off hopes alive, particularly with the following two games against second-placed MK Dons and Rotherham United, in third.

But the U’s also need the teams above them to slip up if they are to finish in the top six.

United are eighth, four points behind Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland and Wycombe Wanderers, and two of these four clubs will surely finish in the play-offs.

It means U's fans will have one eye on how these teams get on over the next few days.

Sky Bet League One top half

The Chairboys have a tricky home game against fourth-placed Plymouth Argyle tomorrow, while Sunderland face mid-table Shrewsbury Town at the Stadium of Light.

Wednesday then go to automatic promotion-chasing MK Dons on Saturday evening in what looks to be another tough fixture.

The second half of League One’s Easter weekend begins on Monday and the U’s will again hope Plymouth do them a favour.

The Pilgrims welcome Sunderland to Devon in another big game at the top of League One, while Wycombe go to 22nd-placed AFC Wimbledon.

It means United will have a good idea of the play-off picture when they entertain MK on Tuesday evening, with Sheffield Wednesday hosting already-relegated Crewe Alexandra at the same time.
