A TOURNAMENT in memory of an Oxfordshire darts stalwart will be held this weekend.
The Jim Baxendale Memorial Darts Competition takes place at Cowley Workers Social Club this Saturday, with doors opening at 11am for a 1pm start.
Baxendale died in 2020, aged 81, having spent half his life as secretary of the Oxford and District Darts Association (ODDA).
The competition has been set up by the ODDA committee in his honour and is all past and present players can enter.
Registration is open from midday and the £5 entry fee can be paid on the door or in advance via one of the committee members.
Players can enter the men’s or ladies draw, with trophies for the winners of both competitions.
The ODDA will hold a raffle, with cash split between the league and a charity in Baxendale’s name.
