OXFORD United travel to Kidlington for their Oxfordshire Senior Cup quarter-final tonight.

The last-eight tie takes place at Yarnton Road, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

United are expected to name a young squad, although several senior players who have lacked game-time will also get an opportunity to impress.

Five levels separate the clubs, with the U’s flying high in Sky Bet League One and Kidlington 17th in Pitching In Southern League Division 1 Central.

The Greens are unbeaten in 2022, taking seven points from their three matches in the calendar year.

Oxford City are reigning Senior Cup champions after beating Banbury United 4-3 in the 2018/19 final.

The competition has not run since then due to Covid.

City have already booked their place in the semi-finals, thanks to their 4-1 triumph over Easington Sports last week.

The other quarter-finals are scheduled to be played over the course of the next fortnight, with Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side Ardley United at home to Division 1 Central promotion-challengers North Leigh next Tuesday.

The final tie sees Thame United, also of Division 1 Central, host Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Bicester Hallions on February 8.
