OXFORD City will look to build on their 1-0 win against Ebbsfleet United when they travel to Hungerford Town.

The Hoops leapfrogged Ebbsfleet to go second in Vanarama National League South, and a win against eighth-placed Hungerford could send them top.

City boss David Oldfield said: “We’re in a period of games that’s going to be really tough, Hungerford is going to be a really big test, and then Chippenham and Dorking coming up.

“They’re a strong, committed group – we have to match that and make sure we’re organised.

“Every game is so difficult, we have to make sure we get back to our basics.”

A wonder goal from Reece Fleet was enough to secure the points against Ebbsfleet and the midfielder knows Hungerford will be another challenging encounter.

He said: “It’ll be another tough test, a tough place to go.

“They’re a good side on a good run, and we’ll have to play well to get something from there.”
