EDDIE Pepperell came unstuck in his second round as he missed the cut at the Portugal Masters.
The Abingdon golfer carded a five-over par 76 on day two at Dom Pedro Victoria GC, Vilamoura, to fall seven shots short.
Starting his second round two-over, Pepperell bogeyed the first hole to get off to a poor start.
A birdie at the fourth was cancelled out by drop shots at his next two holes to leave the Frilford Heath member staring down the barrel.
Pepperell picked up a shot at the ninth, but three successive bogeys from the 12th all-but ended his hopes.
A birdie at the 15th was academic, before a miserable day ended terribly at the final hole.
Pepperell took six shots at the par-four 18th to end the event seven-over.
He is now ranked 372nd in the world.
